Ever taken a photo that was not quite what you wanted ? About 9 out of 10 photos might qualify,
if you are at all like the rest of us.
Maybe that was what motivated the author of this site to "improve" a whole bunch of photos - and put
them on the web for all to see. Or was it just an ongoing fascination with computer graphics ?
Whatever the reason, you can now have the undoubted pleasure of learning how much better you
might have looked, if only your photos had been so rendered. Visit the galleries and see for yourself,
if you too aspire to a personal portrait, or maybe just out of curiosity.
None of this would have been possible without the unwitting co-operation of all those who grace
these galleries. Unwitting that is, while this was still a work was in progress, before it was all revealed.
Family members without exception agreed to put in an appearance. Maybe they liked the way they looked, or maybe
they thought appeasement was the better way forward.
Friends, although a mite more discerning, were wholly unstinting in their support of the project.
The grand-children were best of all. They were not even asked. And they lend themselves quite nicely to some
pleasing child portraits, such as that which you see on the right.
And so, one must acknowledge a debt of gratitude to all: family, friends and grand-children,
indeed all those who appear on these pages.
